The Independent Planters of Biscom Inc. held a turnover ceremony for its new officers and directors for crop year 2012-2013 at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club recently, a press release from IPOBI said.
The elections were held during the associations' general assembly where majority of the 2,000 members most of whom small farmers were present the press release said.
The new officers are Ricardo Yulo - president, Francis Gerard Tuvilla - vice president, Alfredo Reyes - secretary, Vincent Peter Mirasol - assistant secretary, and Florence Porras Jr. - treasurer.
New directors are Augusto Llamas Jr., Mariano Marquez-Lim Jr., Dominador Vasquez Jr., Miguel Yusay and Francis Yulo.
Meanwhile, the outgoing officers are Paul Yulo, Enrique Yusay III, Luis Mirasol Jr., Asuncion Montelibano, and Glenn Vincent Leonardia.
The new president, Ricardo Yulo called on IPOBI members to continue patronizing the association, and assured they will be given the service and support they need in milling their sugarcanes in BISCOM, the press release said.
Yulo also invited sugar farmers in the Binalbagan, Isabela, Hinigaran and Himamaylan areas to affiliate with IPOBI association, it added.*
