Dumaguete employees
celebrate Civil Service Month
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

The Civil Service Commission in Negros Oriental lauded the city government of Dumaguete for lining up health and wellness activities for its employees during the celebration of September as Civil Service Month.

CSC provincial head Merlinda Quillano, who attended the flag-raising rite at City Hall, emphasized the role of government employees in public service, and the need to sustain or improve their relationships with their clients.

It is imperative for government employers and local government units to attend to the needs of their employees and see to it that they are met, and ensure that the working environment is conducive to make them more effective public servants, she said.

Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria extolled the city government employees for their efforts to improve their services to the public.

Vice Mayor Alan Gel Cordova thanked the employees for doing their best to fulfill their mandate, and said he believes that they could still do a lot more.*JFP
