Phoenix 1999/2000 notched its fourth straight win an 83-61domination of Raga Raga 2003/04/05, while Eleven Degrees 1996/97/98 got away with a 69064 victory again Petron 2001/02/12 in the 5th SJI Alumni Basketball Friendship Cup played Thursday last week at the Msgr. John Liu Activity Center.

Phoenix and Ceres Pasalubong are the only undefeated teams in the tournament with a 4-0 card.

Phoenix outscored Raga in all quarters and displayed a balanced offensive led by Eduardo Ng with 14 points, Mark Jimenez added 12, Bogs Ongsingco delivered 9 points, Paolo Li and John Lee scored 8 points each, and Siegfried Bitanga with 7 points.

Mark Vasquez paced Raga with 18 points, Michael Sian scored 12, Carlos Ongsingco , Jonepi Culado and Don Chua contributed 6 points apiece.

In the other game, Eleven Degrees came out on top against Petron in the battle of team with just a solitary win each.

Daniel Tan scored 9 points in the opening quarter to give Eleven Degrees a 17-12 lead.

Martin Ballesteros and Clarence Quingco combined for 13 points as Petron closed the gap at the break, 32-31, even as Roberto Uy tallied 8 points for Eleven Degrees.

Uy continued with his offensive contribution in the third quarter with seven points as he complemented Dino Tongco's low post attacks that netted eight points as Eleven Degrees extended the lead to 57-50. Joshua Co contributed 9 points for Petron.

Both teams struggled offensively in the payoff quarter, a situation that suited Eleven Degrees as the squad held onto a slim margin to win the game.

Uy spearheaded Eleven Degrees with 19 points to his credit, Tan picked up 14 points, Tongco made 12, Arvin Chua with 11 points.

Co finished with 15 points, Tan 10, Ballesteros 9, Lacson 8 points, Ralph Ong and Quingco with 6 points each.*NAB
