KMH captures title
in bowlfest

Kami Mga Hubin won in Class A, as Canvil Knights and Condura ASSFBI Ladies led in their categories in the 19th Sharp Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

KMH won by beating host Sharp team of Irne Diaz, 378-315, in the final game.

KMH members were Wilson Casas, Djanggo Jarina and Odong Paran, while Edgar De Leon, Nonoy Hulguin and Matt Gaudite played for Sharp.

Jarina topscored for Elegado's group with 150 points, while Casas and Paran scored 118 and 110.

The NPBC/RJ Stars of Steve Po were second runner-up to Sharp bowlers, 313-331, in the semi-finals.

Mulo Car Aircon Services of Romulo Ramos and Davies “C”, led by Romel Jover, placed third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

In the non-rated group, Canvil Knights composed of Edgar Allan Del Rosario, Ulysses Pacheco, Elmer Libo-on and Fred Mapano won over FRM Marketing headed by Fil Magbujos in the deciding match, 352-312. Pacheco anchored Canvil by scoring 143 pinfalls.

St. Joseph II and sister team St. Jo I placed third and fourth runners-up.

In the ladies bracket, Condura ASSFBVI Ladies beat Davies Fusion in the finals, 311-294, to win. Its members are Sylvia del Rosario, Juliet Regollo and Lea Javier.

Javier led the ladies champion with 120 points.

St. Joseph Alumni HS Ladies was second runner-up, while Tiger Eye and RJ Stars/NPBC were third and fourth.

In the consolation finals, Electronz ASSFBI was the winner in the rated department, and Haier/Sanyo won in the men's non-rated. Racahe took the women's consolation contest.

The tournament's record holders in the men's category were Johann Genolos (Metro Sales) in highest pinning with 98, Willy Mahilum (NPBC RJ Stars) in single and double with 194 and 284; Sylvia del Rosario (Condura) in the women's highest pinning with 98, Rowena Juarez (RJ Stars/NPBC) in single with 151, and Minnie Chua ( St. Joseph ) in double with 264.

RJ Stars/NPBC holds the record in the team's highest single with 422 and Kami Mga Hubin in double with 744 in the men's bracket;

St. Joseph Alumni Association in the women's single and double with 373 and 690, respectively.

Meanwhile, a two-game “Single Fun Game” Bowling competition will be held tonight at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City .

Games will start at 6:30 p.m.
