MS Tablet beats Davies
in BBTHS alumni tourney

A 34-6 first quarter run for MS Tablet spelled the doom for Davies/Mang Inasal as competition intensified in the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni Basketball Tournament at the Po Hang Gym, over the weekend.

Joseph Don Hugo sizzled with 17 points and Brian Tan added seven as MS Tablet unleashed its power on Davies to top Bracket B of the tournament.

Davies managed to cut the lead in the second quarter as Kenneth Cusay and Bobby Yap scored 12 points and 10 points, respectively, to outscore MS Tablet but the latter remained ahead, 48-33 at halftime.

USLS spikers rule
Bro. Ceci Cup

With its men's team posting three straight wins and the women's squad cruising to its fourth straight victory, the University of St. La Salle spikers continued to dominate the competition in the 4th Bro. Ceci Hojilla Memorial Cup Inter-Club Volleyball Championship at the USLS Covered Court .

Trailing behind the La Sallians in the men's bracket is Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod with two wins and a loss, while University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos has one win and two losses.

VMA Global College absorbed its third straight defeat in men's division, while Iloilo Doctor's College will be joining the men's competition in the next round.

Dragon vs. Rams in TBAC final

Silver Dragon Construction beat JMCA, 84-73, while UNOR-Rams got past GWN Enterprises, 80-77, in the semifinals Sunday for a titular showdown at 6 tonight in the Talisay Basketball Athletic Club-sponsored 1 st Open Basketball Tournament at the Talisay Gym.

In taming JMCA, Rolly Jaca paced Silver Dragon with 18 points, while Atoy Salazar and Joemarie Bayhon scored 11 points apiece to dominate the game.

Oquendo and Bacellote scored 17 points each, but it was not enough to stop the Silver Dragon from advancing to the championship round.
