27th Negros Trade Fair
set to go ‘beyond limits’

The 27th Negros Trade Fair, organized annually in Metro Manila, will be held Sept. 26-30, at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City, a press release from organizers said.

Inspired by the theme Beyond Limits, it will feature innovative products from the five sectors of the Association of Negros Producers that include Fashion, Furniture, Gifts and Housewares, Food, and Organic and Natural Products, the press release said.

More than 70 booths will sell new designs in bags, jewelry, fashion accessories, children’s apparel, furniture, home décor pieces, housewares, gift items, organic and natural food and personal care products, packaged Ilonggo delicacies, and hot food for dining, the press release said.

The dining area at the Rockwell Tent has been doubled in size to accommodate more patrons, it added.

The fair will be highlighted by events to entertain visitors and shoppers, and offer a feel of the famous Negrense hospitality.

Negros-born Sabrina Artadi, who hosts Sabrina’s Kitchen on the Lifestyle Channel, will hold a live cooking demo at the trade fair.

A fashion show, Arte Negrense will be staged at the Power Plant Mall, featuring clothes, children’s apparel, jewelry, bags, and accessories.

Co-presented by BAYO, whose owners are from Bacolod City, the event will include as models, residents of Manila who trace their roots to Negros, and members of their families.

The trade fair will also take on the atmosphere of the MassKara Festival with pulsating dance music, MassKara dancers, a display of masks, and body painting to entice shoppers to plan a trip to Bacolod in mid-October to participate in the world-famous MassKara Festival.

There will also be a hot food area with its chicken inasal, pancit molo, and other favorites.

The fair will also feature the provincial government of Negros Occidental promoting lamb cuisine and organic food, the press release said.

The trade fair will be open to the public from 11a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 26 to 28 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 30 (Saturday and Sunday).

Entrance fee is P40.
