Sky Cable launches digital service

Eighteen areas in Bacolod and Talisay cities will be among the first in Negros Occidental to receive the digital service technology of SKY Cable, Alan Supnet, marketing head of SkyCable Corporation, said yesterday at its product launching at Bar 21, in Bacolod.

Supnet identified the areas to be covered in Bacolod in the phase one installation of digital addressable box (digibox) as baragays Bata, Mandalagan, Banago, Villamonte, subdivisions likes Capitolville, Eroreco, La Salle, Homesite, Helvetia, some areas in Lascon Street, Shopping Street to San Dionisio, downtown area, and Galo, Rizal, Gozaga, Luzuriaga, and San Sebastian streets.

All areas in Talisay City are included in the phase one digitalization that started September 1, he said.

Phase 2 will be digitalized starting October 1 and the areas covered for Bacolod City are Libertad Streets, Circumferential Road, barangays Mansilingan, Taculing, Singcang, Alijis, Tangub, Sum-ag, Airport Subdivision, and the remaining areas in Lascon Street (from 10th street to North Drive including areas near Riverside compound), he said.

Gidgette Faustino, its regional marketing manager, said all existing subscribers will receive the digibox and be charged an additional P130.

SKY Cable packages includes the SKY Cable Gold with 82 channels at P1,050 per month, SKY Cable Silver with 75 channels at P780 monthly, and the SKY Cable P499, P399, and P280 monthly rates with 62, 57, and 56 channels, respectively.
