Paglaum ordinance
ok’d on 2nd reading

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod approved on secondreading Wednesday an ordinance that amends provisions of City Ordinance 37, Series of 1987 that created Barangay Paglaum.

Councilor Caesar Distrito, chairman of the SP Committee on Laws, Ordinances and Good Government, authored the ordinance that set the boundaries and the areas to be covered by Barangay Paglaum.

Co-authors of the ordinance are Councilors Al Victor Espino, Em Legaspi-Ang, Mona Dia Jardin, Roberto Rojas, Carlos Jose Lopez, Homer Bais, Dindo Ramos, El Cid Familiaran and Archie Baribar.

The areas covered are Esteban Guanzon, which includes Hda. RGG Agri Development Corp., Hda Lopuez Realty Corp., Lolita Heights Subdivision, Land Heights and Iloilo Development Corp., National Power Corp. sub-station, Hda. Magdalena, Esteban Village Subdivision, Hda. Villarosa, Hda. (RGG) Guanzon Subd., and Hornets Game Fowl; and

Alejandrino Montelibano, which include Paglaum Village Subd.,C and C Agri. Dev. Corp. Land II,Hda. Fortaliza, Hda. P. Tanalgo, Hda. J. Quirobin, Hda. Gonzaga (Green Inc.),Hda. Nieves,Hda. Trinidad Tanalgo and Miranda, Hda. Montinola,Hda. R. Mabesa, and Hda. Patricio Martir.

The ordinance also provides that a plebiscite will be held on December 15, 2012 to be participated in by the residents of Barangay Mansilingan.

It also provides that P5 million will be appropriated for the conduct of the plebiscite to be administered by the Commission on Elections.*CGS
