ANP set to launch
new ‘sweet deals’

The Association of Negros Producers will launch a new awareness campaign for Philippine sugar, at the opening of the 27th Negros Trade Fair on September 26, at the Rockwell Tent in Makati, a press release said.

A new brand of Philippine Sugar called Sweet deals hopes to open avenues for sugar cooperatives to sell branded sugar to specialty coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants, the press release said.

As part of the launching of the awareness campaign, an audio-visual presentation, produced by the group of Negrense composer Mario Gamboa Peña, will be shown throughout the duration of the trade fair.

A Sugar Exchange will also be held to bring together buyers and sellers to discuss possible areas of cooperation, the press release said.

The Trade Fair will be held until Sept. 30. Over 70 booths will sell new and exciting creations.

The ANP designed it to give SMEs of Negros a window to Manila and beyond on the theme Beyond Limits. The year’s trade fair will feature innovative products from the five sectors of the ANP, Fashion, Furniture, Gifts & Housewares, Food, and Organic and Natural Products, the press release said.

The Trade Fair will be open to the public from 11a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 26 to 28 and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 30.

Entrance fee is P40.
