PESO special recruitment

More than 500 overseas jobs are waiting for jobseekers at the special recruitment activity of the Provincial Public Employment Service Office to be held at the Capitol grounds in Dumaguete City September 17 to 19, a government press release said.

The jobs include those for auto mechanics, waiters, mechanical and electronic technicians, cheese and dairy makers for Riyadh; chemist, driver, mechanical engineer and waiters for Jeddah; machine maintenance electricians and technicians for Dammam; sales executive, receptionists, secretaries, salesmen, cashiers, hair beauticians and manicurists for Doha, Qatar, the press release said.

Around 250 domestic helpers are needed for Kuala Lumpur, Penang in Malaysia, and Hong Kong, PESO-Negros Oriental focal person Jose Ramon Benedicto said in the press release.

Heavy equipment operators with license restrictions 1238 or 238 and residents of Dumaguete City or Valencia town are also in demand, he added.

Applicants with certificates from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Associated Construction Equipment Lessors, have three to four years of driving, or related experience with previous projects engaged in road and quarrying work will have an advantage, the press release also said.*
