MBCCI launching website

The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry will launch the www.go-phils.com portal of Negros Occidental that features all cities, towns, and businesses of the province during the 21st Visayas Area Business Conference in Tagbilaran, Bohol.

The portal is an internet marketing strategy of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental featuring various business establishments and websites of cities and municipalities of the province, MBCCI president Frank Carbon said.

He said an investor or tourist will see the business opportunities and tourist destinations in the province by just one click on the portal.

“Internet marketing allows us to promote our province 24/7 and this is also a preparation for 2015 when the 0 tariff on sugar will be implemented,” he said.

MBCCI and the province created the portal and is geared towards diversification while promoting its businesses to other provinces in the country and even worldwide.

During the convention Bacolod delegates will sell the province and invite tourists, visitors, and investors to come to Negros Occidental, he added.

The conference will be participated in by business associations and chambers from regions VI, VII, and VIII.

The topics to be discussed during the summit are Maximizing and Diversifying Market Penetration in the ASEAN Growth Market for the Visayas, Creating Business Connectivity to the Visayan Island, Sustaining the Growth of the KPO/BPO for the Visayas Region, Maximizing Private-Public Partnership for Sustainable Growth in the Visayas, and the Impact of Climate Change in Business and its coping Mechanism. *LTG
