The Lopue’s Table Tennis Association paddlers made their mark in the September 5-8  Junior National Team Selection Best-of-the-Best Challenge with four of its members earning a slot in the Junior National Team after ruling respective events at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Up against top players from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, LOPTTA stalwarts John Paul Gubaton and John Michael Castro dominated the competition in the boys’ category, while Emy Rose Dael and Rose Jean Fadol had a 1-2 finish in the girls’ division.

Gubaton took the No. 1 spot in his event with a clean sweep of all his matches, while Castro managed to hold on to the No. 5 slot in the tightly-contested boys’ event.  The team was coached by LOPTTA mainstays Marell Lagunday, Rev.
