MANILA – Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp. and Total Philippines yesterday joined other oil companies in reducing prices of their petroleum products.
Breaking several weeks of price hikes that burdened motorists, Shell rolled back prices of its unleaded and premium gas by 60 centavos per liter and diesel by 25 centavos per liter at 12:01 a.m. yesterday.
But just like the minor oil players, Shell hiked the prices of kerosene by 20 centavos per liter, the report said.

Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday led the inauguration of the Nabinay overflow bridge in Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City, that will cut the travel time of trucks delivering sugarcane to Victorias Milling Co. by about 12 kilometers, in time for the start of the 2012-2013 milling season.
Marañon, Cadiz Mayor Patrick Escalante and Nemesio dela Cruz, chairman of the Victorias Mill District Development Council Foundation, cut the ribbon for the P2 million project jointly funded by the provincial government and Victorias Milling Co.

The Public Employment Service Office of Bacolod City is hosting a two-day special recruitment activity today and tomorrow for the Sutherland Global Services, a business process outsourcing company, Moises de la Cruz, PESO manager, said yesterday.
De la Cruz said the company needs customer service representatives to handle its general services and CSR for North America and Australia, technical support representatives to handle network connections, and TSR for software and operating systems.
