Stingers vs. celebrities at
USLS this Saturday

The University of St. La Salle Stingers will face the Star Magic team in a friendly basketball match at the St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City 3 p.m. Saturday, a press release from USLS said.

The basketball match dubbed the “Diamond Jubilee Dream Game,” is a fundraising activity of USLS for its 60M@60 flagship project.

Star Magic talents who will be playing against the Stingers are Xian Lim, Rayver Cruz, Jason Abalos, Aaron Villaflor, Young JV, Jose Sarasola, JapoyLizardo, Gerard Acao, Rodjun Cruz and Mark Luz.

Tickets are sold for P100 (bleachers), P500 (courtside), and 1,500 (premium seats), the press release said.

Those interested in ticket reservations and have other inquiries may call the Center for External Relations at (034) 435-2594 or (034) 434-6100 local 122, the press release added.

Meanwhile, a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will also be played at the USLS on September 17, 18 and September 20.

Each team is composed of five players with the competition open to the public. However any outsider team must have at least one Lasallian student or alumnus in their team, tournament rules stated.

Registration fee is P500 per team with an incentive of Smart giveaways to the first 20 qualified teams to register.

The champion will receive P5,000, first runner-up, P2,500, and second runner-up, P1,000.*
