Bacoleño named chief
of Sultan Kudarat PNP

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Senior Supt. Rolen Balquin, former regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Western Visayas, is the new provincial police director of Sultan Kudarat in Mindanao.

Balquin, a Bacoleño, recently assumed command of the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, which is under the Police Regional Office 12 in southern Mindanao, police records show.

Before his newest assignment, Balquin, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class 1987, served as the PDEA director of Regions 2 and 6.

He also used to be the commandant of the PNPA Corps of Cadets, and director of the PNP Regional Training School 6 in Bacolod City.

Balquin has been assigned in Negros Occidental for about 15 years.

He will supervise 12 town and city police stations in Sultan Kudarat.*GPB
