Dr. Juliet Jeruta is the new Negros Occidental Schools Division Superintendent, and is taking over the post vacated by Dr. Rizalino Tortosa who retired recently.
Jeruta, who paid a courtesy call on Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday, said she was assigned to the Bago Schools Division in April and on September 10, received her designation as head of Negros Occidental Schools Division.
As head of the Negros Occidental Schools Division, Jeruta said she will ensure better access to primary and secondary education, and work at providing quality and relevant basic education to make sure that graduates are competitive even abroad.
She has worked for the Department of Education for 32 years, starting as a secondary school teacher, Jeruta said.
She then became education supervisor in the applied nutrition program and alternative learning system, was promoted to assistant schools division superintendent of Negros Occidental, transferred to the division of Bago City, headed the Schools Division of La Carlota City, and was moved to the Bago Schools Division in April, Jeruta added.*CPG back
