Beauties join swimsuit tilt

“Sweet smiles and happy people make life in Bacolod City good.”

This was what the MassKara Queen 2012 candidates said yesterday during a press presentation at the club house poolside of the Palisades Subdivision in Bacolod last night.

For Mara Kathleen Dela Minez, 18, aside from the sweet smiles and happy people, the delicious delicacies from this city also make it unique.

Tiziani Vince Ybanez, 21, said what makes the life in Bacolod good is that people here are proud of who they are, while Daphne Tanya Molenar, 17, stressed that life is good to someone who is happy and, because of the happy disposition of Bacoleños their life is at ease.

The joyfulness of the people, the stable peace and order and the rare occurrence of calamities in Bacolod and the good governance of its officials are the key factors that make life in Bacolod easy, Ena Louis Velasco, 20, Rachel Malunes, 19 and Kris Anne Marie Dumancas, 20 said.

Kris Piamor Gicaro, 23, Danielle June Villaflor, 20 and Dominique Abayon, 18, Bacolod being the cleanest and the greenest highly urbanized city, the people’s optimism and ability to stand up despite problems that they have, makes the city different from the rest.

The ten candidates also showcased their figures in a swimsuit competition last night.

Talent night will be on October 6 at SM City Bacolod, the ramp modeling and interview will be in the same venue on October 12, fantasy make-up at the Robinson’s Place Bacolod on October 13, and the coronation on October 18 at the University of St. La Salle gymnasium.*APN
