A suspected big-time drug pusher in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, evaded arrest by ordering two high school students to deal with her buyer who turned out to be an undercover policeman, in Barangay Candauay in the city at about 9:50 p.m. Thursday.
Operatives of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Special Operations Group arrested the 14-year-old female and her 18-year-old boyfriend, both residents of Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City, and seized from them two sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about five grams, with an estimated market value of P11,800 per gram.
The girl, a student of the Negros Oriental High School, and her boyfriend, who is studying at the Camanjac National HS, both of Dumaguete, told the police that they were sent by a certain Lolita “Aying” Retes, 29, of Tapon Norte, San Jose town, to make the delivery for her.
The girl has been placed under the custody of the Dumaguete Police Women and Children’s Concerns Desk, while the boy, who claimed that he only accompanied his girlfriend, is detained at the lockup cell.
The police said that Retes’ contact was Lidon Dongcoy, a big-time drug peddler now serving time at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.*JFP
