Twelve sports are on tap for the initial leg which will be held from Sept. 17-21. Of these, 10 sports will be played and considered as the qualifying events for the National Finals in Iloilo City in December.

Events included in the Batang Pinoy are: athletics, swimming, taekwondo, arnis, judo, chess, table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis, volleyball, and.

Judo and volleyball are considered national finals already which means they will not be played in the National Finals.
