Ilog holds sports meet

Student athletes in Ilog town joined the Municipal Sports and Cultural Meet, held September 7 at the Ilog Elementary School, a press release from organizers said.

Representatives from the two district schools in the town, participated in sports and cultural events where the winners will represent Ilog in the 6th District Area Meet set next month.

At the opening of the meet, Ilog mayor John Paul Alvarez hoisted the Municipal Sports Council Banner, while school supervisors Caridad Ablao and Elna Flores raised the delegation banners, the press release said.

Badminton player Aron Novesteros from Delicioso Elementary School led the athlete’s oath while Jovanni David, teacher-in-charge from Montelo Elementary School led the officiating officials’ pledge

Events contested during the activity were athletics, badminton, volleyball, football, chess, and basketball.*
