Dale Salido topped the men’s 15-kilometer event, while Gella Mayang did the same in the women’s category as nearly a thousand runners join the Vital Run 2 Family Fun Run, held September 2 at the Ayala Lands Inc. in Bacolod City, a press release from organizers said.

Placing behind Salido to settle for the first runner-up honors was Franklin Echevarria as Ray Condes placed third to complete the top three winners in men’s 15K.

In the women’s event, Natalia Joy Sy placed second to Mayang and Weng Chang finished third, the press release said.

In 10K event, the top three winners in men’s category where Maclim Sader, Joel Alcorin, and Romulo Balinas; while Stephanie Cadosale and Jelyn Duran, and Angel Magbanua reigned in the women’s group.

Top three winners in 5K men’s event were Rhandon Aga, Roland Nicol Malate, and Cyril Tan; and Raye Deanne Ferrer, Alyana Jane Pineda, and Maia Simone Yusay, women’s division.

Felix Trespecious and Neo John Siason finished first and second in men’s 3K, while Miguel Guevarra and Jay Patrick Nieles topped the men’s 1K race.

In women’s 1K, Ma. Alexa Malate, Mary Anthony Diesto, and Micah Angela Uy of Bacolod Tay Tung High School athletics team dominated the competition, the press release said.

Vital Run 2 was organized by the Lingkod Emergency Room, Negros Occidental Foundation Inc., and the Negros Group of Psychiatrists for the benefit of the indigent patients of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital and for the various projects of the NGP, the press release added.*
