Carissa’s birthday

BUDDAI

Nena de Leon secretly planned the birthday celebration of her daughter, Carissa de Leon Maalat, and invited family members and friends to the party.

The celebrator is married to lawyer Jack Maalat and has two grownup children, Yvanna, who has passed the bar examination and is now married to Paolo Custodio, and Beau, who is studying computer application.

The secret, however, was discovered when friends and relatives called up Carrisa and wished her an advance happy birthday.

The celebration was held at the Ambiance Ballroom extending to the Annex Veranda Hall at the Bacolod Pavillon Resort Hotel in Bacolod City, where delicious dishes were laid out, and the place was beautifully decorated. The ladies wore colorful gowns and the gentlemen were in coat and tie. Tita Nena had requested the visitors to avoid coming to the party wearing in black.

Surprise dance presentations were rendered by Carissa’s friends, the popular Argentine Tango, All Boys Bossa Nova Group, All Boys Latin dance, and John and Kim Cagape, winners of various national dance competitions. The dances delighted the crowd.

To dear Carissa, more birthdays to celebrate and God Bless You and your family!*

Remember: Life may be happy, cool, great, weird, miserable, or full of pain, but whatever life may bring, thank God for giving us a chance to live.*
