More youth leaders urge Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia to continue serving the people of Bacolod after elected city officials recently endorsed him for the post of congressman in the 2013 elections

Four more Sangguniang Kabataan chairmen in Bacolod City added their signatures to the Manifesto expressing their trust and confidence in the leadership of Leonardia and urging him to continue serving the people of Bacolod beyond his term of office as City Mayor.

The four signatories brought to 58, out of 61, the number of SK chairmen who signed the manifesto, leaving only 3 who did not sign, a press release from City Hall said.

The new signatories are of SK chairs Pamela Joi Ubaldo of Bgy No. 3, Sean Carl Joseph Yelo- Brgy. 11, Cedrick Uberas Brgy.- 28, and Angelie Rose Balo - Brgy. 35.

Earlier, 51 of 61 barangay captains of the city also expressed their trust and confidence on the leadership of Leonardia and also urged him to continue serving the people of Bacolod beyond his terms of office as City Mayor.

Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson; Councilors Homer Bais, Roberto Rojas, Em Legaspi-Ang, Dindo Ramos, Al Victor Espino, Caesar Distrito, Carlos Jose Lopez, Mona Dia Jardin, and Keith Emmanuel Ramos; and former Councilors Greg Gasataya and Alex Paglumotan, wrote to Nationalist People’s Coalition chairman Faustino Dy, Jr. and president Frisco San Juan endorsing Leonardia as the NPC official candidate for Congress in the May 13, 2011 elections.

The endorsements in favor of Leonardia cited the rapid and sustained economic growth and development of Bacolod City since June 30, 2004, the day that he started serving his 9-year stint as City Mayor that will end on June 30, 2013. Leonardia was also City Mayor in 1995-1998.

Jehmra Rose Garcia (Handumanan), Rosemie Bansagan (Mandalagan), Jenny Babes Billones (Mansilingan), Joshua Daniel Nessia (Montevista), Rizza Joy Melleguin (Pahanocoy), Saira Gaduyon (Punta Taytay), David Payumo (Singcang), Fannie Louise Pitalla (Sum-ag), Charlene Kate Pabular (Taculing), Joanne Arbis (Tangub), and Jose Leandro De Leon.
