St. Jo bowlers lead
inter-Class tourney

Batch ’83 temporarily led the St. Joseph High School- La Salle Alumni Association Inter-class Bowling Tournament at the Lopue’s East Bowling Centre in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.

After eight rounds of competition, the No.1 squad led by Jun Lozada topped the 22-team cast with 4,140 pinfalls, three pins ahead over second-running Batch ’69 spearheaded by Carlo Boyero and Melot Alimon with 4,137.

First Conference champion Class ’80-81 Combined anchored by Romulo Ramos was third with 4,132 followed by Batch 88-01 led by Minnie Chua with 4,037.

In the top 10 list are Batch ’84 of Art Palo with 4,004; Batch ’74, 3,997; Class ‘6809, 3,3960; Batch ’85, 3,957, Batch ’79, 3,940 and Batch ’73, 3,924.

Batch ’69 had the team’s highest single and triple with 601 and 1,645, respectively.

In the individual contest, Class ’69 bet Carlo Boyero registered the highest single and triple with 147 and 388, andCarl Aguda of Class ’88-01 in pinning with 93 in the men’s division.

Stella Ongsingco of Batch ’83 tookthe women’s single and triple with 158 and 372 and her teammate Rosemarie Amor in pinning with 93.

Tournament director Gary Laurico of Batch ’72 said games will resume Saturday at 2 p.m.*
