Agrarian ReformSecretaryVirgiliode los Reyeslast night met with Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. to explore possible joint projects they can undertake to help agrarian reform beneficiaries.

De los Reyes said he was in Negros Occidental to meet with DAR personnel and agrarian reform beneficiary groups who are the recipients of credit and equipment assistance.

“We are working on strengthening their organizations to empower them to become more productive,” he said.

He said six ARB areas in southern Negros Occidental have been provided with such assistance, and eight more are set to be covered.*CPG
