Bacolod vice mayor bet

Former Bacolod Councilor Greg Gasataya was nominated by the Nationalist People’s Coalition as the party’s official candidate for vice mayor of Bacolod City in the 2013 elections.

Gasataya, 41, is a three-termer councilor, a holder of a Masters degree in Public Management from the Sultan Kudarat State University and a B.A. Communication Arts graduate of the Philippine Women’s University. He was also a B.A. Political Science student at the University of the Philippines - Diliman, was former director of Bacolod City Water District, and former anchorman of Bombo Radyo Bacolod.

He was number one Bacolod councilor during his second and third terms.moremoremore

Vice mayoralty aspirants Renecito Novero and Vladimir Gonzalez yesterday said they will pursue their plans to run for vice mayor of Bacolod City in the May 2013 elections.

The name of Novero, a lawyer and a member of the Nationalist People's Coalition, was among those submitted by the group of Mayor Evelio Leonardia to the party for it to decide who will be its vice mayoralty candidate in Bacolod.

However, the national group chose former Councilor Greg Gasataya as the official NPC candidate for Vice Mayor.moremoremore

Liberals to name complete
city councilors’ slate today

The Liberal Party in Bacolod City is set to announce three more names to be included in their list of bets for councilor in the 2013 elections in a press conference today, LP city district chairman emeritus Andres Hagad said yesterday.

Hagad said the three, whose names he did not disclose are from the civil society, a non-government organization and the media.

However, the LP will not field candidates for Mayor, Vice Mayor and Congressman because they are giving their members the choice of what local party’s they will join, he said.moremoremore
