Unidentified persons ganged up on a teenager and smashed his face with a stone, killing him at the Bacolod City downtown area at dawn yesterday.

Michael Donesa, 13, of Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental died on the spot from his injuries, Bacolod City Police Women and Children’s Complaints Desk chief, Insp. Jovy Cabcaban, said.

Donesa’s friend, whose name was not disclosed, told the police that he asked the victim to come with him so they could rest in a vacant area at Bonifacio Street, Bacolod, Tuesday night.

The friend however, said, that when he woke up at about 1:30 a.m. yesterday, he found Donesa lying on the pavement, bathed in blood.

Cabcaban said they have a witness who claimed that a group of youngsters ganged up on Donesa and one of them hit his face with a stone. She said they have invited some people to shed light on the incident.

Cabcaban added that they could not yet establish the motive for the killing.

Donesa’s remains have been brought to his house in Hinigaran town.*APN
