Outreach mission conducted
A medical dental mission for 396 sugar workers and their families was held recently by the Sugar Industry Foundation Inc. in Brgy. Balaring, Silay City, Negros Occidental, a press release from the group said.
The mission, its 119th, was led by SIFI program coordinator Neolita Alminaza, and assisted by the Hawaiian Philippine Co. headed by John Etabag, Balaring Brgy. Captain Carmelo Millena and health workers, and the Don Aldino and Doña Dolores Jison Integrated School headed by Virginia Perales and her teaching staff, the press release also said.
Also participating were doctors Milagros Amarra, Danilo Dueñas, Cheryl Tampus, Terry Gasataya, and Estrella Leong, and dentists Josette Dueñas and Eden Orpeza, the press release added.*

Early Christmas for orphans
An early Christmas gift-giving and birthday celebration were held by The Doctors' Hospital Inc. at the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation Inc. in Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City Wednesday, a press release from promoters said.
Birthday celebrators Fran Rose Tan (Sept. 26), Menzi Balangao (Sept. 29) and Marie Pete Carriedo (Oct.6) agreed to hold a joint celebration at the Holy Infant, that started 3 p.m. with an invocation from Fr. Dino Acot.
There was a puppet show to entertain the children and gifts, like candies, fruits and toys. The activity, supervised by ancillary head Donnah Rose De Jose, was aimed at bringing love and laughter to the orphanage, the press release added.*
