Fuel saver launched
for Bacolod bizmen

A Filipino scientist and entrepreneur yesterday launched his invention, a F2020 Fuel Saver, before Bacolod businessmen at the Bacolod Pavilion in Bacolod City.

Bernilo Pacheco said F2020 is considered an answer to the increasing fuel costs and maintenance among motorists and industrialists in the country.

He said F2020 is a green product composed of 80 percent natural palm oil and 20 percent F2020 formula composed of 19 different kinds of plant oil trade secrets.

He said his invention is compatible with all types of fuel like gasoline, diesel (automotive, industrial and marine), special fuel oil and bunker-c. The F2020 XTRM Power lube is suitable for new and old engines of all sizes. It is also recommended for differentials, transmissions and hydraulics, Pacheco said.

F2020 Fuel Saver is mixed directly to the fuel tank before or after filling it with gasoline, diesel or SPF at the ratio of 2ml F2020:1L gasoline, diesel or SPF, said Pacheco.

He also said palm oil is the main ingredient of the product because of its commercial volume in the market. Oils from peanut and canola can also be used as the carrier of this product, not just palm oil, he added

He said he believes palm oil, the raw material of his invention will not run out in the next 20 years because of the 126,000 hectares of palm oil plantation all over the country. He added that even Visayas and Mindanao are into planting palm oil and he is confident that importing raw materials is not likely to happen.

This product will be able to save gasoline consumption from 10 to 35 percent. F2020 cleanses the fuel, taking out all the impurities, at the same time it serves as lubrication inside the combustion chamber, Pacheco also claimed.

Pacheco said he is also looking forward to using jatropha oil as a substitute for palm oil

. Bayawan City in Negros Occidental has a jatropha plantation and he said he talked to Bayawan City Mayor German Saraña Jr. twice and agreed to give their production to F2020 International and in return, Pacheco said he is willing to share his expertise on how they can enhance their bio-fuel product for free.

Meanwhile, Pacheco said his team is scheduled to meet with Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia today to introduce the product. He said this will be a great help on the part of local government units, especially for LGU vehicles and equipment.

In 2004, he said he wrote President Gloria Arroyo about his invention and it was endorsed immediately to the Department of Energy where the product was certified and tested.

Pacheco took up his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation at the PMI Colleges (formerly Philippine Marine Institute) and BS Computer Programming at STI College in 1994. After graduation, he said, a New York based American company got him where he did multiple researches and was sent to school to study mechanical and chemical engineering for a year.

He also said he topped the first European Community Licensure Examination in Chemical Engineering.*LTG
