Team Bago captures
arnis championship
The Mayor Ramon D. Torres Arnis team from Bago City outclassed their opponents in various categories to capture the overall honors in the 2009 Mayor Gene Fuentes Regional Arnis Cup held July 25-26 at the Tangalan Sports and Cultural Center in Aklan.
Mentored by Grand Master Danilo Cardinal and GM Joe Mancesa, Team Bago went home with 13 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze medals in the Junior Boy Full Contact, Senior Women Full Concact, Anyo Boys Solo and Doble Baston, Men Individual and Team Solo BAston and Espada y Daga, and the Women Individual and Team Solo Baston and Doble Baston.
| NPBC bowlers pace Fun Bowl RJ Pinsmashers/Agencia Bacolod NPBC posted a 13-round score of 19,252 pinfalls to lead the ongoing NSL Organization Invitational Fun Bowl at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City. With two more rounds remaining, the Rowena Juarez led NPBC is already assured of a slot in the magic four of the premiere class A division. The 69Ner’s of Binoy Gepana, and Rosanna Anasarias’ DepEd Province are second and third in command with 19,155 and 19,144 followed by Firefly of Vilma Robles with 19,127. |
