Guara named
Bacolod OIC cop chief
BY ADRIAN NEMES III & CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
Former Silay City, Negros Occidental chief, Senior Supt. Celistino Guara, who is also Regional Headquarters Support Group head, has been designated as the new officer-in-charge of the Bacolod City Police Office effective today.
Guara was assigned, through PNP General Order 581, to replace Supt. Leo Irwin Agpangan, who has been acting city police director for almost six months now after former city director, Senior Supt. Ronilo Quebrar, left to assume a higher post in Camp Crame.
Guara told the DAILY STAR yesterday that, as the new acting police chief of the BCPO, he will do his best to regain its title as best police station in the region after it landed on the seventh spot in the performance evaluation conducted by the PRO-6 for the second quarter of 2009.
