No monopoly in
3rd District, Adanza says

BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

There’s no monopoly of good intentions in the third district, Board Member Marcelo Adanza who will contest the candidacy of his former ally, Rep. Pryde Henry Teves (Neg. Or., 3rd District) said.

Adanza said he has nothing against the Teveses but that he is offering himself as an alternative bet.  He considers Pryde Teves a friend rather than a foe, he said, adding that he joined the Nationalist People’s Coalition of Negros Oriental Gov. Emilio Macias II because they proved that they can work together.

Adanza also clarified reports that he will run for Congress because his request to run for mayor in Zamboanguita town, and for his son Kit Mark for board member, was not accommodated by the Teveses.

He said Kit Mark is doing good in Zamboanguita as mayor and doesn’t have to run for board member.

His other son, Ian, the twin of Kit Mark was offered to become the president of the Philippine Councilors League on the presumption that he should win as councilor of Zamboanguita, Adanza said.

Ian is former Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president of Zamboanguita and former federation vice president for the province.

Meanwhile, Adanza has assured the full support of the NPC group in the third district for Capt. Edith Vera, chairman and president of the Negros Maritime College Foundation Inc., who is the lone candidate for board member of the NPC.*JG
