Home for her birthday,
Yuletide cheers

BUDDAI

The colorful and enticing stars surrounding the San Sebastian Cathedral, the Bishops Palace, Rectory and Diocesan Center, are cool and refreshing to the eyes, as they complement the attractive Bacolod public plaza.

It really gives a nice and warm feeling to pass by churches with Christmas décors, such as the Redemptorist Church, Our Lady of Peace, Our Lady of Carmel, Triumph of the Holy Cross, and many more.

Lillie Muñoz, the charming and lovely wife of the former oil pump station manager Larry Muñoz, came home to celebrate her birthday with the BALI group at L’Fisher Chalet Tower II, recently.

All function rooms were fully-booked with celebrations of a drug company, another birthday bash, and bank retirees gathering. I had to excuse myself just to be with the retirees of this bank, all groupies of mine. The Yuletide party was through the generosity of a former bank employee, now the president of a private corporation.

Everybody wanted to have a souvenir picture with Roseller Ciocon, who gladly obliged with a smile. The group enjoyed the bash with lots of fun and laughter and, of course, reminiscing on the good old days.

Some enjoyed the beautiful view of the sea and sight of Bacolod City, while at the Penthouse of the Ciocons.

Back again to the BALI group, who enjoyed the cool breeze and the pool. We called up Bamboo Tonogbanua if we can come to see his famous Christmas Village and he said, after 30 minutes. We took pictures of every nook and corner of the lovely decorations of the hotel.

We stayed for more than 30 minutes and then we went to San Juan Street to see Bamboo’s Christmas Village. Some of our group members will celebrate their birthdays this December, and we expect more celebrations…

Remember: Resentment comes from looking at others; contentment comes from looking at God. Joy is the result of walking with God.*
