Demolition job
aimed at us – Mar

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Liberal Party vice presidential hopeful Senator Mar Roxas yesterday said there is an ongoing demolition job against his team and their supporters, because they are always on top of the surveys.

Roxas said the administration party is bent on destroying them, because they have  the support of the people, citing results of several surveys by the Social Weather Stations ever since.

Bulacan Governor Joselito Mendoza and Isabela Governor Grace Padaca, who are supporting  the candidacies of Aquino and Roxas, were ordered by the Commission on Election to vacate their respective positions, saying they lost in the May 2007 elections.

Roxas likened those behind the demolition job to “Dracula” who revived “dead cases”, almost six months before the May 2010 elections.

Roxas, who attended the birthday party of United Negros Alliance congressional candidate, Alfredo “Albee” Bantug-Benitez, last night in Victorias City, said he and Aquino have no bosses, except the Filipino people.

Former Agrarian Reform Secretary Butch Abad said the popularity of Aquino is based on the people’s perception of his integrity, which people equate with having a government with less corruption and more resources for their economic needs.

Roxas debunked claims of their political detractors that the survey rating of Aquino-Roxas tandem is declining. All surveys show that “We are always on top of the list,” he said. *GPB
