ATMs assured
of ample cash

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-Kalibo has assured tourists in Boracay of enough supply of cash in several automated teller machines of different banks during the holiday season, a government press release said.

Leonora Templonuevo, deputy director of BSP-Kalibo, said that she saw no reason why money supply in ATMs should be insufficient.

Boracay Island , as a premier tourism destination in the country, is one of the favorite destinations not only of foreign tourists but also of local tourists and of celebrities during Christmas and New Year's revelry. Most of the tourists either use credit cards or ATM cards.

"We are continuously monitoring transactions in Boracay but it is guaranteed that the banks will make available their cash this Holiday ," Templonuevo said.

Among the banks that serve this island destination are the Bank of Philippine Islands, Metrobank, Allied Bank and soon the Banco De Oro.*PNA
