Hawaiian Christmas

It was a back-to-back party for the medical consultants and staff of the Bacolod Doctors Hospital who held their graduation ceremony of residents and Hawaiian Christmas party at the Sugarland Hotel poolside. Seven graduated. They were: Pediatrics – Drs. Geraldine Burgos, Lyn Cabañero, Darlene Fetalvero and Frenchie Londres; Obstetrics – Dr. Jogie May Galvez-Ban; and Medicine – Drs. Jo-Ann Olivares-de Juan and Apple Parroco.

The ceremony was attended by Medical Director Dr. Rafael Jocson and Chief of Clinic Dr. Jose Pandan, with Dr. Arnie Grace Pacete being the master of ceremonies.

The oath-taking of the graduates was administered by Dr. Olga Pabecon, vice president of Doctors Hospital Alumni Association.  Incumbent president of the medical staff are Drs. Salve Sedonio-Jecena, Mary Jean Rodriguez, secretary and Jorette Puerta, treasurer. 

Guests arrived in Hawaiian costumes, and the Best Costume Award went to Drs. Luis Arroyo and Kate Jison. Special numbers such as drama and dance were prepared by the different departments with the first prize awarded to the Obstetrics Department, second prize to Internal Medicine Department and third prize to Surgery Department.

The judges were Hospital Administrator Dr. George Abueg, Rafael Salgo and Edith Bayoneta. Dr. Ruben Monte de Ramos performed an intermission number.

Ryan Dominic Sy recently celebrated his 23rd birthday with a party in his house at Greensville I. 

Chef Ryan cooked for his family and friends delectable main courses while desserts were prepared by his sister, Patricia Sy-Gomez.  It was the first time for chef Ryan to celebrate his birthday. He is an entrepreneurship graduate. 

He created a scenic place outside their house where he serves food by-reservation.*
