NPBC LJP Trading MJS and Bago City Bowlers Association took the 1-2 position in the curtain raiser of the 1st Five-Man Team Friendship Open Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The NPBC squad shattered a three-game collection of 1,738 pinfalls to lead in the opening round, as the visiting team compiled 1,636 balls.

The Gil Villagante and Steve Po’s  pintopplers sparked 570 pinfalls in the first game and continued to soar high with 577 and 591 in the second and third outings.

BACBA trailed them with 1,636 totals.

Wearing the NPBC uniform were  Matt Gaudite, Willy Mahilum, Hernand Garciniego, Cano Gaudite, Ruby Cordero and Rose Pablico, while BACBA is represented by Tito Datoon, Ric Abellar, Joel Basiao, Dito Obando, Joe Ermeo, Rene Bustamante, Oca Villanueva and Gap Penafiel.

Bebing Uy’s Lady Dragon was third with 1,567.

Davies Paint of Romel Jover has 1,565; Kapamilya, 1,480; Circle Inn, 1,477; Firefly, 1,475;  Team Justice, 1,396 and Department of Education, 1,375.

NPBC Tough Trucks and Pepsi-Cola has not played their first round assignment yet.

NPBC also won the opening 3-Balls contest in the men and women’s division courtesies of Willy Mahilum and Rose Pablico.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Conference of the Inter-School Alumni Bowling Tournament is expecting to open Jan. 28 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Bowling Alley in Bacolod City.*HLG
