Futures Basketball League Bacolod coordinator Roger Banzuela clarified yesterday that the coaches meeting will be on Jan. 15, 3 pm. at the University of St. La Salle and not Jan. 12 as earlier reported.

Banzuela said national coordinator Niño Sinco will personally meet with the coaches to discuss eligibility requirements of players competing in the tournament.

Schedule of the games and other details of the competition will also be discussed during the meeting.

Participating teams will contest the titles in the three age-group divisions – mini (8-10), midget (11-12), and junior (13-14) – in the initial offering of the FBL in Bacolod City.

In its 2008 edition in Manila, a total of 56 teams from different schools joined in the competition.

The FBL started with only 15 members schools but has been steadily growing every year and has expanded nationwide with tournaments held in Cebu and Davao.

Organizers are introducing the competition in Cagayan de Oro and Bacolod  City this year.*NAB
