| Preparing for a
Golden Jubilee
The Negros Occidental High School Class ’59 celebrated its traditional Christmas Party on December 30, at the NOHS Alumni Hall and finalized plans for their Golden Jubilee celebration in April.
Delicious lunch “Pot Bless” was brought by members of the class. Lechon was donated by balikbayan Azucena Pang from Australia and Marlit Fabila Sarabia from Guam.
Also present were Dr. Mercedes Adorio from Manila, a professor from the University of the Philippines, and Ronnie Vinco, as well as Judge Antonio Guinanao of Talisay and Silay cities.
The program started during coffee time with members taking turns in giving a short talk, followed by the exchange of gifts. The executive board was composed of Judge Guinanao as chairperson, Antonio Lacsi – co-chairman, Thelma Argel Imutan – souvenir book, Jose Garcia – overall coordinator, Coralie Divinagracia Labog – coordinator, Manila group, and Anita Avancena Zabala – coordinator, Mindanao group.
Monserat Sabijon Nasataya of Class ’59 was present in all their activities. Class officers of 1959 are Dr. Edgardo Estrella – president, Angel Espino – vice president, Aida Buenavista Pavillon – secretary, Erlinda Inventor Calforo – treasurer, and Thelma Argel Imutan – P.I.O.
Games were played and raffle of entrance tickets held where everybody won! Class ’59 is now ready for the coming Golden Jubilee.
