The National Disaster Coordinating Council released recently P10 million as assistance to Bacolod City's flood control program through the city's Flood Mitigation Committee chaired by Bacolod Councilor Roberto Rojas, a press release from City Hall said.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia expressed his gratitude to NDCC and to Undersecretary Anthony Golez who facilitated the release of the assistance, it said.
Leonardia said the amount will definitely help do a lot in the city's continuing efforts to address the problems of flooding in the city.
Rojas said the amount will be earmarked for the priority programs of the Flood Mitigation Committee.
