To gather its alumni in a fellowship, fun and casual reunion, the West Negros University’s Alumni, Information and PR Office, in coordination with the College of Education, recently held its 1st WNU-College of Education Alumni Bowlfest at the Lopues East Bowling Center.

WNU-IS team scored 464 total pinfalls to bag the championship.

Vladimir Cebu, AIPRO director, said the activity was initiated to create a ripple of awareness among other alumni and encourage them to actively take part in alumni-reunion activities.

During the opening program, Dr. Nony Descutido, College of Education dean, delivered a message to the participants while organization chairperson Roselyn Alegarbes explained the bowling competition ground rules. The Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Allan Geagoni, VAED Department Head.

Participating teams were composed of faculty and staff members -- Ma. Eleanor Rondez, Allan Geagoni, Mercia Ann Apostol, Romina Miñada, Mary Grace Bancoleta, Vlademer Abselica, Bayani Lacson, Larry Orcajada, Remedios Alvarez, Angela Cabague, Ophelia Duayan, Abelardo Rivera, Vivian Salazar, Agnes Algara; WNU-Integrated School principal Mario Gabuya and teachers Ma. Rose Mondejar, Mary Joy Barrientos and Luche Magtunao, of the Bacolod City Health Office.

Also present were new alumni members; John Mark Nono, Melchie Gelogo, Jerome Porras, Adrian Diaz, Markwil Jun Alipala, Christine Caporas, Michelle Pido, Joel Ledesma Jr. Caroline Bellones, Jinky Tambasen, Beberly de Jose, Yvonne De la Rosa, Michelle Ann Cadiz and  Jerlu Vincent Santillana.*
