Depeñoso
transferred to Guimaras

BY NANETTE L.  GUADALQUIVER

Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman has ordered Monday the revamp of four provincial agrarian reform officers in Western Visayas, including Teresita Depeñoso of Negros Occidental, who will be transferred to Guimaras.

Depeñoso, who came to Negros Occidental in July 2007, will be succeeded by Ricardo Fernandez, who will also leave his post in Iloilo.

She announced her transfer at the ongoing municipal agrarian reform officers conference in Bacolod City.

The Department of Agrarian Reform Special Order No. 20, series of 2009, dated January 19 also directed the re-assignment of Regina Caspillo from Guimaras to Capiz; and Everardo Erispe from Capiz to Iloilo.

The DAR-Negros Occidental Provincial Office said yesterday the schedule of the turn over rites between Depeñoso and Fernandez will be announced later.

All activities set by Depeñoso will be cancelled until further notice, pending the assumption of the new provincial agrarian reform officer, it added.

Depeñoso, before her assignment to Negros Occidental, was DAR chief of Siquijor. She had also been assigned to Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte and Misamis Oriental.*NLG
