Tribu Ompong of Brgy. Tabugon topped the Tribal competition in the 33rd Sinulog Festival celebration in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, recently.

Second place went to Tribu Tres of Brgy. 3 and third place winner was Tribu Lasang of Brgy. Magballo, a press release from Kabankalan said.

Tribu Ompong also won Best in Street Dancing, Best in Costume and Best in Choreography.

The trophy and cash prizes were received by Brgy. Captains Vincent Bello, Frieda Jacildo and Jeffry Tubola, of Brgys. Tabugon, 3, and Magballo, respectively, the press release said.

The champion, second and third placers received P50,000, P300,000 and P200,000 in cash plus P300,000, P200,000 and P100,000 worth of projects, respectively.

For the Drum and Sound contest, first place winner was Tribu 9 of Brgy. 9, second place went to Tribu Camansi of Brgy. Camansi, and third place was bagged by Brgy. 3, the press release added.*
