A group of Korean children whose mothers are Filipinos called on Negros Oriental Gov. Emilio Macias, II and Vice Gov. Jose Baldado recently.
Macias said the children belonging to the Geumsan Multicultural Family Support Center in Geumsan, Korea were interested to learn about the culture of the province.
The children were toured in the Sildlakang Negros Village, Silliman University-Dumaguete City campus and other tourism destinations in the province.
Rev. Min Woo, who brought the children to the Philippines, said they hope to arrange a culture exchange between Korea and Philippines.
Based on their latest data, 40 Filipina women married to Korean nationals chose to permanently live in Korea, Woo said.*MA
