Doctors in broadway

The Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital medical staff held a party at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club on the theme, "Pelikulang Pinoy."

It was a night of fun, laughter, good food and bonding for some 200 doctors. Highlight of the evening was the performance of doctors dressed to the nines. The Pediatrics department won first place with their “Pinoy Superheroes” number. The group was composed of Drs. Antonia Gensoli, Luis Arroyo, Carmelita Calahog, Donna Quedenco, and Alvin Parreno. Also joining was Dr. Salud Javelosa, emeritus chairperson of the Pediatrics department.

The Internal Medicine department followed as second in their “Mr. Suave” performance, headed by Dr. John Ledesma. Third place winner was the Surgery department represented by Drs. Dave Gamboa, Andrew Sanchez and Filipinas Ganchoon. The Surgery department, with Riverside president Dr. Russo and Bingo Torre, also performed dance and song numbers.

Dr. Iko Continente organized the launching of the 2009 Ford Focus at their Talisay showroom recently. Guests were welcomed by drumbeaters and live acoustic music.

Officers and staff of Skycable recently held a Hawaiian party at Sta. Fe Resort. Traveling from Dumaguete was Glenda Descuatan. Also present were Rechelle and Raul Montinola.  Winning Mr. and Ms. Hawaiian were Jojo Tolentino and Arlene Lascuete.*
