Rep. George Arnaiz (Neg.Or, 2nd District) has assured that he will source funds for the Department of Public Works and Highways in Negros Oriental to rehabilitate and improve a long stretch of the coastal national highway in his district.

This developed after a large portion of the road along Lalaan in San Jose town had collapsed and left a big gaping hole caused by unusually big waves from the tail end of a cold front about two weeks ago.

Arnaiz said engineering teams from the DPWH second district had worked overtime to repair the damage as the hole, measuring about three meters in diameter and about five feet deep, posed a great danger to the public and motor vehicles.
