Board Members Adolfo Mangao Sr. and Enrique Miguel Lacson posted perfect attendance in the regular sessions of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental in 2008.
Lacson, who replaced Board Member Emilio Yulo III, attended 18 regular sessions, after he officially assumed as board member on Aug. 6 last year.
Aside from registering a perfect attendance in 48 regular sessions of the SP last year, Mangao has no record of having been on official business and travel, sick leave or leave, SP records show.
Board Member Raul Rivera also posted the most number of official business and travel, with nine, followed by Board Member George Gitano with seven, and four each for Yulo, Board Members Edgardo Acuña and Manuel Frederick Ko.
Board Member Jebmari Becaro, who represents the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation in the provincial council, registered the highest number of absences with nine, followed by Board Member Miller Serondo with five, while Rivera had four.
As expected, Board Member Janet Torres who died in July 6 last year because of a lingering illness, got the most number of sick leaves with 25, followed by Board Member Macario Zafra with seven, while Yulo had three.
Board Member Renato Gustilo attended 46 sessions, Board Member Mae Javellana – 45, Melvin Ibanez – 44, Patrick Leonard Lacson – 43, Yulo, Serondo and Zafra – 41, Ko – 40, Acuna – 39, Gitano – 38, Becaro – 36, and Rivera – 34.
Then Vice Governor Isidro Zayco and Yulo assumed the positions as governor and vice-governor of Negros Occidental, respectively, on March 14, following the death of Governor Joseph Marañon.*GPB
