Sarah Geronimo
wows Bacolod

IVY

There was a heavy downpour that Friday evening but the La Salle auditorium was packed with people of all ages, who came in droves to see and hear their favorite singing sensation, Sarah Geronimo, in her Bacolod concert entitled “The Next One”.

Famous music man Louie Ocampo was the musical director of the show and what a show it was. The audience roared and cheered when Sarah opened her show playing the piano and singing a popular hit song. It was a star-studded night with special guests G-force dancers who performed with such vitality and energy. Billy Crawford electrified the stage with his sensational song and dance numbers. He is totally world-class (now I am a fan). Mark Bautista, winner of Star in a Million and a TV host, enthralled the crowd with his golden voice as he sang old favorites, Portrait of My Love and Love is a Many Splendored Thing, to the delight of Mayor Bing and Elsa Leonardia and Rep. Monico Puentevella, music lovers all.

Even the Yanson family was there in full force enjoying the evening’s performance. Mark also surprised Sarah with a birthday cake and a long-stemmed rose as he led the audience in singing Happy Birthday for Sarah.

The naughty crowd shouted “Kiss!....Kiss!” as Mark and Sarah held hands even after she blew the candles on her cake. (Hmmmm, is something brewing here?) Robie Domingo, handsome celebrity also performed a hot dance number while Jeremy Marquez kept the crowd in stitches with his funny adlibs. He even got the audience on their feet with his touching rendition of Gulong ng Palad. Simon Wood (Victor Wood’s son) sang his Dad’s hits to the appreciative audience.

But the star of the show was Sarah. She enchanted the crowd with her rendition of You Changed my Life (from her hit movie with John Lloyd Cruz), Star in a Million, To Love You More and all her best songs to date.

Viva boss Vic del Rosario was there in full support of the Box Office Queen, top endorser and so much more. Concert producers Moises Manio, Patty Ong and Jonathan Lo couldn’t have asked for more.

It was a smashing show!*
