A retired policeman in Bacolod City is asking President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to create a Presidential Ethics Committee that will inquire into the administrative aspect of the alleged sex scandal issue involving local officials of the city.
In his letter to the President dated July 15, Victor Eduardo said that a local radio program had aired that a married councilor had sex with a woman, not his wife, in a hotel in the city in the presence of three councilors and a vice mayor.
Acting City Legal Officer Vicente Petierre III, legal counsel of the city officials, however, said the claims of Eduardo is “pure and simple” black propaganda because no sex scandal ever took place and the tape he claims to substantiate their claims does not exist.
He said not a single complainant has surfaced against those involved in the alleged live sex scandal.
Eduardo, being a former police investigator, should know that he needs evidences in an investigation, Petierre said.
How can he investigate something that does not exist? He asked. It is like shooting the wind, Petierre said.
Petierre said they are contemplating to file charges against Eduardo for including the vice mayor in his letter to the President.
He heard Eduardo confirm in a TV interview yesterday that he sent the letter to Malacañang, which he considers very libelous.
Eduardo had filed numerous cases before the Office of the Ombudsman against several city officials.
Petierre said this is all part of the grand design of the political opponents of Mayor Evelio Leonardia to destroy all those who are supportive of him since the present administration has implemented numerous projects that benefit the people of Bacolod.*CGS
