Four colleges in the country gathered at Silliman University in Dumaguete City to forge a formal partnership agreement targeting institutional development, recently, an SU press release said.
The project titled “Building Institutional Ties: Academic Networking for Sustainable Professional and Leadership Development of Faculty members,” was supported by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.
Participating schools were Easter College (Baguio), Fellowship Baptist College (Kabankalan City), Pilgrim College (Cagayan de Oro) and Mountain View College (Bukidnon) – four of nine partner colleges of Silliman under the Scholarship Grants for Small Colleges it is facilitating for UBCHEA.
Each college was represented by their administrative teams, most of whom obtained their graduate degrees from Silliman under UBCHEA’s scholarship program, the press release said.
Easter College focused on the refinement of their vision, mission and goals and their integration into the curriculum; Fellowship Baptist College shared its initiatives in service-learning; Mountain View College discussed organizational research development; and Pilgrim Christian College highlighted curriculum review and the processes involved, the press release added.*
